Canadian Centre for Victims of Torture
The CCVT is a non-profit, registered charitable organization, founded by several Toronto doctors, lawyers and social service professionals associated with Amnesty International. The mandate of the CCVT is to respond to the continuing needs unique to survivors of torture and their families in Canada and abroad, and to increase public awareness, in Canada and abroad, of torture and its effects upon survivors and their families.

The Canadian Council for Refugees is a non-profit umbrella organization committed to the rights and protection of refugees in Canada and around the world and to the settlement of refugees and immigrants in Canada. The membership is made up of organizations involved in the settlement, sponsorship and protection of refugees and immigrants. Canadian Ethnocultural Council (CEC)
Founded in 1980, the Canadian Ethnocultural Council (CEC) is a non-profit, non-partisan coalition of national ethnocultural umbrella organizations which, in turn, represent a cross-section of ethnocultural groups across Canada. The CEC's objectives are to ensure the preservation, enhancement and sharing of the cultural heritage of Canadians, the removal of barriers that prevent some Canadians from participating fully and equally in society, the elimination of racism and the preservation of a united Canada.

The Centre for Refugee Studies is engaged in research on refugee issues. Inter-Church Committee for Refugees (ICCR)
The Inter-Church Committee for Refugees (ICCR) is a coalition of ten Canadian church bodies which was founded in 1980. The mandate is to promote an equitable generous and compassionate response to refugees by Canada and by Canadians. The work includes monitoring the world refugee situation and Canadian responses, developing joint church positions, reports, briefs and letters to the Canadian government and relevant international forums. ICCR also works with national churches on difficult cases and educational materials.
