Claudia Orellana came to Canada a few years ago from El Salvador. She has been at the Immigrant Centre for over three years. She started as Front Desk Support and is a Settlement Facilitator today.

She has a unique educational and work background. She attended the University of El Salvador, graduated with a degree in Business Administration, and completed a diploma in the same field at Mancorp College, Washington DC. Additionally, she has a certification in Human Resource Management from the University of Winnipeg.

Her work experience is impressive. After completing her education in her home country, she was head of the Human Resources Department for Millennium Challenge Corporation FOMILENIO at the El Salvador branch. She worked for Keller Williams Realty in Toronto when she moved to Canada. In her position, she oversaw the company’s administration and liaised with Canadian investors for the Florida real estate market.

When we asked her why she likes working at the Immigrant Centre she tells us that she enjoys helping newcomers settle in our city: “It makes me happy to help my clients find all the information they need to be able to live in Manitoba.”
