Nutrition Services Volunteer Opportunities

nutrition class

Volunteers in Nutrition Services assist with the cooking and nutrition classes at the Immigrant Centre. The responsibilities mainly consist of leading a small group through a recipe (5-6 participants), washing dishes, completing food prep, and interacting with the participants. It is an asset for the volunteer to have some knowledge of nutrition and/or cooking.

The required commitment is 3 hours weekly, for the span of 9 weeks. For example, you may volunteer on Tuesdays from 4:45 – 7:45 pm from October to November.

If you are interested in volunteering in our nutrition program, please contact the Manager of Nutrition Services. (Please note that since this program does not run every month, there may not be volunteer opportunities at the time you inquire. However, we are happy to put interested applicants on a volunteer waiting list for future programs.)
