How did the Immigrant Centre help you to find a job in Canada?
Immigrant Centre gave me an assessment appointment, a job search workshop, a job interview workshop, and Canadian Workplace Culture workshop. All that gave me more self-confidence.

What types of job search techniques did you use to find your job?
I used my exclassmates and friends network. I used job search websites and applied online. Sometimes, I saw hiring advertisements in front of some companies and I applied. Sometimes I went to the front desk of some companies to ask if they were hiring.

What differences have you noticed between working in Canada and working in your home country?
Payment in Canada is per hours. Taxes in Canada are higher. In Canada exists lunch time, sometimes is 30 minutes or one hour, and sometimes is not paid.

What advice would you give to immigrants and newcomers looking for work?
Never give up! Never lose optimism! Be prepared for a probably long time to search for a job. Sometimes it is necessary to look for a different job to our expectations.
