I applied online and attended various employer sessions arranged by Immigrant Centre. and attended Job fair.

What differences have you noticed between working in Canada and working in your home country?
In Canada, recruiters focus on soft skills but in my home country, focus is more on technical skills instead of soft skills.

What advice would you give to immigrants and newcomers looking for work?
Be patient and focus on interview skills NOT on results. In addition, Make your profile relevant to the Job description. Four advices:- 1. Focus on your Cv. Invest time on preparing your profile and make sure it should be relevant to the job description. 2. If you start getting calls, it means your CV is grabbing attention . That's very important . 3. Be patient in applying to jobs and interviews. 4. Focus on interviews strategies NOT on result.
