Tetyana Vavriychuk has volunteered as a Computer Training Facilitator at the Immigrant Centre since December 2014. To date, she has completed 128 volunteer hours, helping newcomers learn the basics of Microsoft Word, Excel, E-mail and Internet.
Before becoming a volunteer however, Tetyana, like many of our volunteers was a client of the Immigrant Centre. “I came from the Ukraine two years ago. I was a Computer Training client and I also took Driver’s Education classes at the Immigrant Centre.
While taking Computer Classes at the Centre, Tetyana heard about volunteering from other volunteers and decided to apply. “It’s a good experience. Good for English paractice and meeting people from different cultures; it’s interesting. I have made friends with other volunteers.”
About the Immigrant Centre, Tetyana had this to say. “The Immigrant Centre is a good place to go to get help. There are lots of different programs and friendly people .”
The Immigrant Centre thanks you Tetyana for your time and dedication.
