Board members donate for additional shield barriers

It’s the holiday season, and at the Immigrant Centre we have plenty of reasons to celebrate and be grateful.

For a second time, Board members generously donated funds to buy more shield barriers for our front-line workers.

Immigrant Centre Manitoba’s Board of Directors

Board members continue to support our front-line workers, and with this new donation, they help us protect the health and safety of our staff serving newcomers in person. Thank you!

Since the start of the pandemic, the Immigrant Centre has been proactive in protecting our staff, clients, volunteers, and Board members from the spread of COVID-19. Initially we suspended all in-person operations, and shifted to a remote/virtual service delivery format. Following public health orders and best practices in the sector, we opened for in-person services in June, in compliance with regulations and recommendations to stop the spread of COVID-19. All visitors, including clients and volunteers, must strictly follow our COVID-19 in person visit guidelines.
